Hello! I’m Mrs. Jones, your school counselor. I am here to support students as they build confidence, develop friendships, solve problems, and strive to achieve their personal and academic best.

- Classroom Lessons – Engaging, interactive lessons focused on kindness, respect, problem-solving, and goal setting.
- Small Groups – Targeted support for students with similar needs, such as friendship skills, coping with change, or strengthening study habits.
- Individual Counseling ;– Short-term, one-on-one support for personal, social, or academic concerns.
- Parent & Teacher Collaboration – Partnering with families and staff to help students be successful.

Character Education Program
At J. C. Parks, our goal is not simply to have a character education program, but to build a culture of good character. Our school motto centers on teaching students the Three R’s—Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn—which empower them to strive for excellence every day.
The Core Essentials Character Education Program supports this mission by introducing one core value each month. These values connect directly to our Three R’s and are woven into everything we do. Every staff member plays a role in modeling and reinforcing these qualities throughout the school year.
Center for Children Counseling
Ms. Elizabeth Williamson, a licensed therapist with the Center for Children, is available to provide more in-depth counseling services for students who may need additional support. Students can be referred for a wide range of concerns, including grief, depression, or other emotional and behavioral needs.
